About Mary Adrene
Mary Adrene Burback has always believed
that each life experience leads to and enriches the next.
As a girl growing up in Louisiana she was drawn to
exploration of color and texture while learning to paint.
Mothering two wonderful daughters she continued to
experiment with color and texture in fabrics and yarns while
sewing, knitting, and quilting for family and friends.
After moving to the Pacific Northwest
15 years ago, Mary Adrene yearned to create memory albums
that would reflect the wonder and excitement of her exotic
travel destinations, with her husband Larry, and of the
significant events in her family and friends’ lives. The
Northwest also played a role in heightening her awareness of
texture and the interplay of light and shadow. She learned
the art of bookbinding and brought her own exquisite color
sense to the process of creating albums as works of art.
Paper is now her medium and albums her focus.
Mary Adrene’s life has brought her
here. She would love to create a beautiful album for you.
